UniSuper
What we did
Diversity Partners designed and facilitated comprehensive workshops and webinars for more than 150 UniSuper leaders at all levels, including executives and team members.
The sessions helped participants to understand their obligations under the new positive duty for organisations to take proactive steps to prevent unlawful behaviours in the workplace, as well as strategies to strengthen an inclusive workplace culture.
What we covered
- An overview of the new positive duty and its practical implications.
- The key role of leadership and organisational culture in meeting legislative requirements.
- Practical strategies for cultivating inclusive, safe, and respectful behaviour within teams.
Outcomes / Impact
Across seven UniSuper Leader Workshops delivered between July and December 2024, 148 leaders completed the pre-workshop survey and 137 completed the post-workshop survey.
- Prior to the workshops, 13 respondents rated themselves as having a high level of understanding of the positive duty, with just 3 participants expressing complete confidence in applying these responsibilities.
- Post-workshop, these figures rose markedly to 109 and 17 participants respectively – reflecting an increase from 16 (11%) to 126 (92%) demonstrating confidence and awareness in implementing the Positive Duty within their workplace practice.
UniSuper is committed to ensuring all new and returning leaders complete this program throughout 2025.
