Safe and Inclusive team cultures

Almost every week a new report or media story highlights exclusionary behaviours, biases and harassment in Australian workplaces.

They’re a poignant reminder why new laws – like the Positive Duty to eliminate sexual harassment and other unlawful behaviours, and the amendment to Commonwealth work health and safety laws to manage hazards and risks to workers’ psychological health and safety – are so important.

The reports also underscore the continuing need for education that builds awareness of inclusive behaviour and motivates people to act. That’s why we designed our Inclusion in Action workshop – for leaders and employees to learn about – and implement – practices that create team environments where people feel valued and safe to speak up with ideas, questions and concerns.

In the workshops, participants learn how to actively invite different perspectives, how to recognise and challenge unconscious biases and microaggressions, and the power of micro-validations, particularly for those from under-represented and marginalised groups.

Diversity Partners has more than a decade of experience facilitating these workshops.

This year we’ve facilitated workshops for thousands of leaders from diverse sectors – including insurance, financial services, sports management, retail, emergency services, facilities management, arts management, resources, and local councils. And we’re thrilled to have been selected as the global partner for CSL, the Australian multinational specialty biotechnology company, to facilitate Inclusion in Action education for leaders around the world.
