New workshops to re-energise diversity and inclusion progress

Introducing two new workshops to re-energise diversity and inclusion progress. We’re offering a 90-minute Inclusive Leadership Refresher for leaders and a two-hour Conversations with Men on Diversity and Inclusion, designed to build awareness, tackle unconscious bias, and promote inclusive workplace actions through open, engaging dialogue

We’ve created a one-hour conversational refresher for leaders on simple but effective actions to create a safer and more inclusive workplace. Whether your leaders are ambivalent about, or supportive of, diversity and inclusion efforts, we meet them where they are.

And, following the success of our workshops for men in the rail industry, we’re now offering workshops for men who want to be part of the diversity and inclusion conversation and learn about ways they can support more inclusive workplaces.

What’s covered:

  • Why fair and inclusive workplaces have a competitive edge
  • Unconscious biases and subtle exclusionary behaviours that get in the way of inclusive team cultures
  • Five key inclusive leadership actions that make a big difference to team performance.

The workshop draws on the latest business psychology research on developing equitable and inclusive talent management processes. We also amplify the importance of respect at work, and reducing psychosocial hazards, to strengthen your organisation’s compliance with Australian laws.

The workshop is facilitated by Senior Consultant Tarang Chawla, well known for his engaging approach and gender equality advocacy in Australia.

What’s covered:

  • What we mean by ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion’
  • What the data about workforce participation in Australia shows
  • The link between inclusion and high performing teams
  • What gets in the way of inclusive workplaces
  • What each of us can do to support fair and respectful workplaces that benefit everyone.

What men are saying about the Men in Rail workshops:

  • ‘Excellent session. Great forum to be a part of. Some very relevant and important topics covered which will help me in my role day to day. Facilitator Tarang was terrific and engaged all participants for the full two hours.’
  • ‘It was a great way of engaging with others, listening to their opinions, and not be judged or shot down for what they want to say.’
  • ‘Well facilitated program that was willing to discuss people’s negative views of DEI without judgement.’
